Temperature Measurement

Long and short-term measurement of temperatures

The working accuracy can be significantly reduced by the thermoelastic deformation of production machines, e.g. caused by local sources of heat in or near the machine, or by temperature gradients between the hall floor and hall ceiling or caused by temperature changes of the hall over days, weeks or months. We analyze these influences and develop suggestions for improvement based on continuous temperature measurements at discrete measurement locations on the machine.

Examples of application

  • Temperature measurements in the machining process.
  • Long-term monitoring of temperatures on foundations, machine bases and structural components combined with displacement measurements.
