Mesh Decimation Service

You can use our fully-automated mesh decimation service if you don't want to download and process the raw data by yourself. We can offer this service for regions whose authorities have released their digital elevation models under licenses that allow us to use their data in a commercial setting. As of May 2017 our database covers 150,000 km² all across Europe. Please note that we can't guarantee that the data is without errors and suitable for your needs.

To use our mesh decimation service you'll have to purchase decimation keys from ShareIT/Digital River after you've used up the three free keys included in every planlauf/TERRAIN installation. Please remember that we charge for the mesh decimation only, the original data is available for free from the original sources. For each requested Zip-package one decimation key is required and you can select an area of up to 100,000,000 points. You can use these files with the free version of planlauf/TERRAIN, purchasing the full version is not necessary.

Please follow the steps below the table to get one of your free planlauf/TERRAIN Zip-packages.
